Description
A total of 528 specimens belonging to 91 species and seven families were found in the collections of Odonata at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Osun state Nigeria. The seven families include Libellulidae (79%), Coenagrionidae (15%), Chlorocyphidae (3%), Calopterygidae (1%), Aeshnidae (1%) and Platycnemidifae (<%). Four dominant species include Trithemis arteriosa (22.5%), Orthetrum chrysostigma (10.5%), and Orthetrum Julia (9.3%). over thirty five of the collections were represented by only one individual amongst which are Ceriagrion citrinum, Umma longistigma and Orthetrum abbotti.
